We’re off and running!

The 2012 World Congress of Agronomists and Agrologists was officially launched at Quebec City’s Chateau Laurier during the 2011 Congress of the Ordre des agronomes du Québec which took place this past June. Underlining the importance and relevance of the of the Congress’ theme, “Feeding the World”, Michel Saint-Pierre, agronomist and chair of the event’s organizing committee, invited all of the agronomists, agrologists and agri-food professionals to attend the congress at the Quebec City Convention Centre from September 17 -21, 2012. The organizing committee also used the opportunity to inaugurate the Congress’ website www.worldagro2012.com , in the presence of Rosario Garcia Moreno, General Secretary of the World Association of Agronomists.

La Coop Fédérée: Platinum Partner with the 2012 World Congress of Agronomists and Agrologists!

The Coop fédérée once again demonstrated its leadership within the agriculture and agri-food sectors by becoming a Platinum Partner of the 2012 World Congress of Agronomists and Agrologists. As such, the Coop fédérée will be actively contributing to the success of the event, all the while witness to the Coop’s commitment to researching solutions for feeding the world. The organizing committee is honoured by the trust that this dynamic organization has accorded them. The Coop fédérée was founded in 1922 and today counts 106 different affiliated cooperatives and almost 100 establishments in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta. The Coopérative fédérée joins the list of other partners who have already confirmed their financial support for the 2012 Congress.

Leaders endorse the World Congress

The organizing committee of the World Congress of Agronomists and Agrologists welcomed the Congress’ Ambassadors’ Circle at a breakfast organized this past June at the 17th Montreal Conference. This prestigious circle is made up of personalities from the agri-food sector who have been chosen for their credibility, their capacity to influence and their talent for rallying people together. In joining the Congress’ Ambassadors’’ Circle, these leaders have accepted to support the organizing committee in promoting the event throughout their sectors.
